1. V-(으)려고 V : V in order to V

뭘 하려고 거기에 갑니까?
Why are you going to do there?

친구에게 보내려고 책을 한 권샀어요.
I bought a book to send to a friend.


2. V-아/어 오/가다 : V and bring/take it (used in suggestion and imperative form).

사진을 세 장 찍어 와야 해요.
Please take 3 photos and bring them to me.

이름을 써 오세요.
Please write your name and bring it to me.

내일까지 숙제를 해 오겠어요.
I will do my homework and bring it by tomorrow.

*V-아/어/여 가다: express an action that will continue until future time.

이제부터 한국어를 열심히 공부해 가요.
I (will) study Korean from now on

드라마가 끝나 가요.
The drama is going to end (soon).

모든 것이 잘 되어 가요.
Everything is going to be fine.

*V-아/어/여 오다: express an action that has been done from the past and continues until present time.

    지금까지 내가 잘 살아 오네요.
    Until now, I've been living well. 

    저희 선생님께서 말하던 말을 믿어 왔어요.
    We trusted what the teacher said until now.
      나는 열심히 일해 왔어요.
      I've worked hard.


      3. V-(으)면 되다/안 되다 : should V (suggestion)

      무엇을 준비하면 됩니까?
      - 밥하고 김치를 준비하면 됩니다.
      What should I bring?
      - It will be all right if you bring rice and Kim chi.

      9시까지 오면 되지요?
      - 9시까지 오면 안 돼요. 8시까지 와야 해요.
      Is it all right if I come by 9?
      - No, it' not. Come by 8.


      4. N은/는 : contrastive particle

      한국말은 잘하는데 일본말은 잘 못해요.
      I can speak Korean well, but I can't speak Japanese.


      5. N-에 등록하다 : to register/sign up for N

      한국어반에 등록을 하고 싶어요.
      I want to register for the Korean class.

      6. 처음이다 : to be the 1st time

      여기 처음이에요?
      - 네, 처음이에요.
      Is this your first time here?
      - Yes, it is my first time.


      7. N이/가 필요하다 : to need

      등록금이 필요해요.
      I need the tuition fee.

      사진 몇 장 필요해요?
      How many photos do you need?


      8. N이/가 필요 없다 : not to need

      어려운 책은 필요 없어요.
      We don't need difficult books.
