(Thanks to the development of medical technology, human life expectancy has increased significantly compared to the past, but modern people still suffer from various diseases. Cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc., are common illnesses among modern people and are often called lifestyle diseases. This is because although the direct causes of these diseases haven't been identified, they are closely related to wrong lifestyle habits.)

(For example, cancer is the number one cause of death among Koreans. There are various factors that cause cancer, but smoking, drinking, stress, wrong eating habits, and lack of exercise are known to have an influence. High blood pressure and diabetes are also related to fatty meals, excessive intake of carbohydrates and salt, and consumption of instant foods.)

(How should we cope with these diseases? Experts recommend receiving appropriate treatment but changing one's lifestyle. In other words, we need to eat balanced meals and exercise regularly. Meals should be regular, well-rounded, and moderate. It is good to drink enough water but limit alcohol and cigarettes. Regarding exercise, you should do it consistently more than 3 days a week. For example, walking 10,000 steps a day helps prevent adult diseases. When we maintain correct lifestyle habits in our daily lives like this, modern people will be able to enjoy a healthy life.)
