A Quiet Revolution: More Korean Men Are Choosing Family Over the Office

👨‍🍳🏠 South Korea is witnessing a major shift in family life.

More Korean Men Are Choosing Family Over the Office

For the first time on record, more than 274,000 Korean men are now full-time homemakers, stepping away from the workforce to care for children, grandchildren, and household responsibilities.

The number has increased by 16.6% compared to last year, reaching the highest level since related records began in 2004.

While women still make up the vast majority of full-time homemakers, the gap is gradually narrowing. At the same time, female employment continues to rise, and more fathers are taking parental leave than ever before.

In a country where traditional sayings once suggested that "men should not set foot in the kitchen," these numbers point to a significant cultural change. 🇰🇷

Is this a sign that Korean families are redefining gender roles for a new generation? 🤔

What do you think about the growing number of stay-at-home dads in Korea?
