Ahead of their highly anticipated sold-out concerts in La Plata this October, BTS have officially been declared "Huéspedes de Honor" (Guests of Honor) by the La Plata City Council—a rare civic recognition that celebrates their extraordinary global influence and the passionate ARMY community in Argentina.
The proposal, introduced with the support of local fans, was approved during the July 2 council session. Councilor Melanie Horomadiuk also thanked the fans and the Culture Commission for helping make this meaningful tribute possible.
In Argentina, being named a Guest of Honor (Invitado de Honor) is a prestigious distinction that reflects deep respect and appreciation. It often includes special recognition at official ceremonies and symbolizes the city's warm welcome to distinguished visitors.
The honor comes just before BTS make history with their first-ever full-group concerts in Argentina, where they will perform three completely sold-out shows at Estadio Único de La Plata on October 21, 23, and 24. 🇦🇷✨
