Usage:
- Use to politely or gently ask someone a question = were/are/do you...?, Is/was it...?
- A/V-ㄴ/은/는 건가요? is a variation of the A-(으)ㄴ가요? V-나요? grammar.
1. Present tense: A-(으)ㄴ가요?, V-나요?
아프다 --> 아픈가요? (are you hurt?)
학생이다 --> 학생인가요? (are you a student?)
많다 --> 많은가요? (is it much?)
적다 --> 적은가요? (is it small?)
*멀다 --> 먼가요? (is it far?)
*무섭다 --> 무서운가요? (is it scary?)
가다 --> 가나요? (do you go...?)
있다 --> 있나요? (is there...?)
계시다 --> 계시나요? (is he there...?)
*살다 --> 사나요? (do you buy...?)
*만들다 -->만드나요? (do you meet...?)
2. Past tense: A/V-았/었나요?
가다 --> 갔나요? (did you go...?)
많다 --> 많았나요? (was it much?)
걸리다 --> 걸렸나요? (did it take...?)
3. Future tense: V-(으)ㄹ 건가요?
먹다 --> 먹을 건가요? (will you eat...?)
가다 --> 갈 건가요? (will you go...?)
있다 --> 있을 건가요? (will there...?)
*살다 --> 살 건가요? (will you buy...?)
