1. ‘자기 계발어휘 = Self-development -related vocabularies

 

강의 = lecture / bài giảng

 

저는 학교에서 한국 역사 강의를 듣고 있습니다.

I am taking a Korean history lecture at school.

 

저는 강의가 좋습니다.

I like this lecture.

 

강의 내용이 재미있습니다.

The lecture content is interesting.

 

결심(하다) = determination, decision / quyết tâm

 

올해부터는 매일 운동을 하기로 결심했어요.

From this year, I decided to exercise every day.

 

결심을 쉽게 꺾지 않을 거예요.

I won't break this decision easily.

 

과정 = process / quá trình

 

이번 프로젝트는 진행하는 과정은 힘들었으나 결과는 무척 좋았습니다

The process of this project was difficult, but the result was very good.

 

일을 잘하려면 과정을 이해해야 합니다

To do a good job, you need to understand the process.

 

결과도 중요하지만 과정은 중요합니다

The results are important, but the process is more important.

 

꾸준히 = steadily / đều đặn

 

꾸준히 노력하면 좋은 결과를 얻을 있어요

If you keep trying, you can get good results.

 

힘들어도 매일 꾸준히 보세요.

Even if it's hard, keep doing it every day.

 

운동은 꾸준히 해야 돼요.

You have to work out consistently.

 

동영상 = video

 

동영상 강의는 생각보다 재미있었다.

The video lecture was more interesting than I thought.

 

선생님은 매일 새로운 강의 동영상을 올렸다.

The teacher uploaded a new lecture video every day.

 

나는 휴대폰으로 동영상 강의를 들었다.

I listened to the video lecture on my cell phone.

 

부러워하다 = envy / ganh tỵ

 

동생은 친구의 노트북을 보고 무척 부러워했다.

My brother was very envious when he saw his friend's new laptop.

 

그녀의 목소리를 부러워하는 사람들이 많다.

There are many people who envy her voice.

 

다른 사람의 성공을 부러워할 필요는 없다.

You don't have to envy other people's success.

 

부지런하다 = diligent / chăm chỉ

 

토니 씨는 매우 부지런해서 새벽에는 운동을 하고 퇴근 후에는 외국어를 배워요.

Tony is very diligent, so he works out at dawn and learns foreign languages after work.

 

언니는 잠시도 쉬지 않고 부지런하게 움직여요.

My sister moves diligently without a break.

 

빵집 사장님이 아침부터 부지런하게 장사 준비를 해요. (장사 = business)

The bakery owner is diligently preparing for the business from the morning.

 


솜씨 = ability, skill (at/in) / tài nghệ, khéo léo

 

우리 어머니는 음식 솜씨가 좋으세요.

The cooking skill of our mother is great.

 

저는 그림 솜씨가 없어요

I don’t have drawing skill/ I'm not good at drawing.

 

아이의 피아노 치는 솜씨가 늘었어요.

My child's piano skills have improved.

 

실력 = skill, ability / kỹ năng

 

저는 아직 한국어 실력이 부족한 같아요.

I think my Korean skill is still lacking.

 

실력을 쌓기 위해 열심히 공부해요.

I study hard to improve/build up my skills.

 

실력도 노력하다 보면 거예요.

Your dancing skills will improve as you keep trying.

 

익숙하다 = (intransitive verb) be used to, be familiar / quen, thành thục


지훈 씨는 아직 운전에 익숙하지 않아요.

Jihoon is still not used at driving yet.

 

가게 직원이 익숙한 솜씨로 선물을 포장했어요.

The store clerk wrapped the gift with familiar skill.

 

한국 생활에 익숙하지려면 시간이 조금 필요할 거예요.

You will need some time to get used to life in Korea.

 

익히다 = (transitive verb) become proficient at, be familiar with  / làm cho quen

 

안나 씨는 일을 하면서 한글 서류를 만드는 방법을 익혔습니다.

Anna became proficient at how to make Korean documents while working.

 

미카 씨는 컴퓨터 기술을 익히고 있습니다.

Mika is becoming proficient at computer skills.

 

일에 필요한 한국어도 익히고 있습니다.

I'm also becoming familiar with Korean for work.

 

자기 = oneself / tự mình, bản thân

 

지수는 자기 방에서 공부를 하고 있어요.

Jisoo is studying in her room.

 

언니는 바빠서 자기 생일도 잊어버렸어요.

My sister was so busy that she forgot her birthday.

 

동생은 자기가 원하는 시간에 공부하고 싶어 해요.

My brother wants to study whenever he wants.

 

자기 계발 = self-development / phát triển thân

 

많은 직장인들이 퇴근 후에 자기 계발을 하고 있다.

Many office workers are doing self-development after work.


자기 계발 방법은 다양하다.

There are various ways of self-development.

 

자기 계발을 위한 프로그램이 많다.

There are many programs for self-development these days.

 

전문적 = professional / chuyên nghiệp

 

리사 씨는 사진을 전문적으로 배우고 있어요.

Lisa is learning photography professionally.

 

문화 센터에서 요가를 전문적으로 가르쳐요.

I teach yoga professionally at the cultural center.

 

가죽 옷을 전문적으로 하는 세탁소를 알아요?

Do you know a laundry shop that specializes in leather clothes?

 

직접 = direct / trực tiếp

 

이건 제가 직접 만든 비누예요. 한번 보세요.

This is a soap that I made myself. Try it on.

 

음식은 제가 요리사에게 직접 배웠어요

I learned this food directly from the chef.

 

어떤 것을 알고 싶으면 자기가 직접 봐야 해요

If you want to know something well, you have to do it yourself.

 

취향 = tastes / sở thích, gu

 

저와 지수는 성격도 비슷하고 취향도 비슷해서 쉽게 친해졌어요

Jisoo and I have similar personalities and similar tastes, so we became close easily.

 

저와 지수는 음식 취향이 맞아요.

Ji-Soo and I have similar tastes in food.


저는 언니와 입는 취향이 달라요.

My older sister and I have different tastes in clothes.

 

특기 = talent, specialty / tài năng

 

수지는 노래를 잘하는 특기를 살려서 가수가 됐어요. (살리다 = make use of)

Suzy became a singer by making use of her talent in singing.

 

동생은 음악에 특기가 있어요.

My younger brother has a talent in music.

 

지수는 말로 사람들을 웃게 하는 특기를 가졌어요.

Jisoo has the talent of making people laugh with words.

 

최선을 다하다 = do one’s best / cố hết sức mình

 

우리 팀은 최선을 다했지만 이번 경기에 졌다.

Our team did our best but lost this game.

 

포기하지 않고 끝까지 최선을 다했다.

I didn't give up and did my best to the end.

 

나는 최선을 다해 공부했기 때문에 후회하지 않는다.

I have no regrets because I studied as hard as I could.
