V-아/어 주세요 and V-아/어 주시겠어요? grammar = please do, would you please ~make a request to someone


V-아/어 주세요, V-아/어 주시겠어요? grammar = please do, would you please ~making a request to someone


Usage:

- V-아/어 주세요: the speaker expresses a request to the listener to perform an action  = please do 
 
- V- 아/어 주시겠어요? is a more polite expression of V-아/어 주세요 that shows more consideration for the listener = could/would you please

V-아/어 주세요 is replaced by V-아/어 드리세요 if the recipient is someone higher in status or to be respected by the speaker (e.g. guests, elders, parents, boss...) 
Tense:

Verb + 아/어 주세요 or 아/어 주시겠어요?

빌리다 (borrow)  -- 빌려 주세요 (please lend )
들다 (bring)  -- 들어 주세요 (please bring)
닫다 (close) -- 닫아 주세요 (please close)
소개하다 (introduce)  -- 소개해 주세요 (please introduce)
*쓰다 (write)  -- 쎠 주세요 (please write down)
*돕다 (help)  -- 도와 주세요 (please help)


Examples

*V-아/어 주세요 grammar = please do 

1. 문 좀 닫아 주세요. / 창문 좀 열어 주세요
Please close the door./ Please open the window.

2. 자리를 안내해 드리세요
Please show her/him to a seat.

3. 이 문법 좀 가르쳐 주세요
Please teach me this grammar.

4. 제 말을 좀 들어 주세요. 
Please listen to me.

5. 천천히 말해 주세요.
Please speak slowly.

6. 배고파요?
- 네. 맛있는 걸 사 주세요.
Are you hungry?
- Yes. Please buy me something delicious!

7. 이 박스가 진짜 무거워요. 좀 도와 주세요.
- 오케이! 도와 줄게요. 
This box is really heavy. Please help me.
- Ok! I'll help you.

*V-아/어 주시겠어요? grammar = would you please do

1. 사진 좀 찍어 주시겠어요
Would you please take our picture?

2. 이 문제가 어려워서 풀어 주시겠어요?
This problem is difficult, so could you help me solve it?

3. 저녁에 컴퓨터 좀 고쳐 주시겠어요?
Could you fix my computer in the evening?

4. 설거지할 게 너무 많은데. 이것 좀 거들어 주시겠어요?
There are too many dishes to wash. Could you help me with this?

5. 저 좀 도와 주시겠어요
- , 뭘 도와 드릴까요
Could you please help me out? 
- Sure, how may I help you?

6. 조금만 조용히 해 주시겠어요?
- 네, 시끄럽게 해서 미안해요.
Could you be quiet for a bit?
- Yes, sorry for the noise.

7.거실이 좀 추운데 창문 좀 닫아 주시겠어요?
- 네. 지금 바로 닫을게요.
It's a bit cold in the living room, could you close the window?
- Yes. I'll close it right now.


Difference between  V-()세요 and V-/어 주세요.

1. V-()세요 :  a simple command or request to the listener to do an action for the listener’s sake.

다리가 아프세요여기 앉으세요.
Does your leg hurt? Please sit down here.

2. V-/어 주세요: a request to the listener to do an action for the sake of the speaker.

영화가 안 보여요앉아 주세요.
I can’t see the movie. Please sit down.
