V-아/어 줄게요, V-아/어 줄까요? grammar = Shall I, Let me ~attempt to help someone

Usage:

- V-아/어 줄게요. or V-아/어 줄까요? is used when the speaker express an intention or an attempt to help someone = Shall I, Let me, I will…

- V-아/어 드릴게요. or V-아/어 드릴까요? is used when the person receiving the help is of higher status or to be respected by the speaker (e.g. guests, elders, parents, boss...).

- Opposite grammar: V-아/어 주세요 and V-아/어 주시겠어요? grammar = please do, would you please ~make a request to someone

Tense:

Verb + 아/어 줄게요 or -아/어 줄까요?

보다  -- 봐 줄게요  -- 봐 줄까요?

사다  -- 사 줄게요  -- 사 줄까요?

기다리다 -- 기다려 줄게요 -- 기다려 줄까요?

빌리다 -- 빌려 줄게요  -- 빌려 줄까요?

운전하다 -- 운전해 줄게요 --  운전해 줄까요?

*돕다 -- 도와 줄게요  -- 도와 줄까요?

Examples:

*V-아/어 줄게요 and -아/어 드릴게요 grammar = Let me do / I will do something for you

1. 내가 도와 줄게. (casual)
Let me help you.

2. 제가 도와 드릴게요. (polite)
Let me help you with that.

3. 집까지 데려다 줄게요.
Let me take you home

4. 제가 당신에게 조언 좀 해드릴게요.
Please let me give you some advice.

5. 다음 주까지 공연 장소를 알려 드릴게요.

I will let you know the show location by next week.

6. 추우니까 창문을 닫아 주시겠어요?
- 네, 바로 닫아 줄게요.
It’s cold, so would you please close the window?
- Okey, I will close it now.

7. 아줌마, 여기상 좀 치워 주세요.
- 네, 손님, 금방 치워 드릴게요.
Ma’am, please clear this table.
- Yes, I will clear it right away.

8. 에어컨을 켜 주시겠어요?

- 네, 켜 드릴게요.
