제 고향 말레시아에서는 결혼 전에 먼저 약혼을 하고 1~2년 후에 결혼을 합니다. 그래서 약혼 준비를 가장 먼저 합니다. 신부가 혼수를 준비하는 것은 한국과 비슷하지만, 약혼 후 결혼하기 전까지 1~2년 동안 신부가 혼수를 준비할 수 있도록 신랑이 돈을 보내 준다는 것은 한국과 다른 점입니다. 또, 신랑은 신부를 데려오는 대가로 신부의 부모님에게 결혼 선물을 하기도 합니다.
In my hometown of Malaysia, before marriage a couple get engaged first and get married after 1~2 years later. So, the first thing to do is to prepare for the engagement. It is similar to Korea for the bride to prepare for the wedding, but it is different from Korea that the groom sends the bride money so that the bride can prepare for the wedding during 1~2 years after the engagement and before the wedding. In addition, the groom gives a wedding present to the bride's parents in return for bringing the bride.

베트남 사람들은 한국 사람들과 다르게 식사를 할 때 대화를 많이 합니다. 그래서 처음 시부모님과 식사를 했을 때 많이 하다가 꾸중을 듣기도 했습니다. 처음엔 이해하지 못했지만, 나중에 서로 다른 식사 예절에 대해 이야기하고 차이를 이해할 수 있었습니다. 이제는 식사 때 간간한 이야기만 짧게 하고, 식사 후에 따로 대화하는 시간을 가집니다.
Unlike Koreans, Vietnamese people talk a lot when eating. So, the first time I had a meal with my parents-in-law, I was scolded a lot. I didn't understand it at first, but later I was able to talk about the different dining etiquette and understand the difference. Now, we only talk briefly during meals, and we have time to talk separately after the meal.

My hobby is running. I started running because I wanted to keep my body healthy. My physical strength improved through running, and I was able to meet people of various ages and occupations in the club. Another hobby I want to try is camping. Spending a night in the wonderful nature seems to relieve a lot of the stress that has been accumulated.

한국의 음식문화 중 가장 기억에 남은 것은 배달 음식 문화입니다. 저희 고향에는 없는 문화인 데다가, 어디든 배달해 주고 또 가격도 비싸지 않아 정말 신기하고 편리합니다. 태국은 외식문화가 발달했는데, 식당에서 먹기보다는 주로 포장을 해서 집이나 사무실에서 먹는 것이 특징입니다.
One of the most memorable food culture in Korea is the delivery food culture. It's a culture that doesn't exist in my hometown, and it's really amazing and convenient because it can be delivered anywhere and the price is not too expensive. Thailand has developed a culture of eating out, and it is characterized by packing up and eating at home or in the office rather than eating at a restaurant.

한국의 전통차 중 수정과를 마셔 보 적이 있습니다. 처음에는 약간 매운 향이 나서 놀랐지만, 달콤한 맛과 독특한 향이 매우 좋았습니다. 저는 평소에는 커피를 자주 마시고, 가끔 국화차 같은 차도 마십니다. 베트남은 옛날부터 홍차나 보이차가 유명해 사람들이 많이 마십니다. 또, 커피를 생산하는 나라라서 커피도 많이 마십니다.
I have tried Sujeonggwa among Korean traditional teas. At first I was surprised by the slightly spicy flavor, but I really liked the sweet taste and unique flavor. I usually drink coffee often, and sometimes I also drink tea such as chrysanthemum tea. Vietnam has long been famous for black tea and puer tea, and many people drink it. Also, since it is a coffee-producing country, people drink a lot of coffee.

설날에 가족들과 다 같이 윷놀이를 해 보았습니다. 처음에는 윷의 모양에 따라 말을 몇 칸씩 움직이는지를 외우지 못해서 조금 어려웠지만, 가족들이 도와주어서 정말 재미있게 했습니다. 말레이시아에눈 세팍타크로라는 전통놀이가 있는데, 여럿이 동그랗게 서서 공을 주고받는 놀이입니다. 한국의 제기와 조금 비슷한데, 국제 경기도 있을 정도로 유명한 놀이입니다.
I played yut with my family on New Year's Day. It was a little difficult at first because I couldn't memorize how many squares the horse moves according to the shape of the yut, but it was really fun with the help of my family. In Malaysia, there is a traditional game called Noon Sepak Takraw, in which several people stand in a circle and exchange a ball. It is a bit similar to Korean jegi, but it is so famous that there is an international game.

제가 가장 좋아하는 계절은 가을입니다. 가을은 하늘이 높고 맑기 때문에 '천고마비'의 계절이라고도 불립니다. 산에는 단풍이 형형색색 아름답게 물들기 때문에 나들이하기에 좋습니다. 또한 햇곡식과 햇과일이 많이 나오는 수확철이라 저는 가을을 가장 좋아합니다.
My favorite season is autumn. Autumn is also called the season of 'blue sky and fat horse' because the sky is high and clear. In the mountains, the autumn leaves are colored beautifully, so it is good to go for a picnic. Also, it is the harvest season when there are many fresh grains and fresh fruits, so I like autumn the most.

저는 강원도 강릉에 살고 있습니다. 강릉은 동해와 맞닿아 있고 서쪽으로는 태백산맥에 접해 있습니다. 최근 KTX역까지 생기면서 더 많은 관광객이 방문하며, 특히 여름에는 해수욕장 피서객들로 항상 붐빕니다. 또한 인류무형문화유산인 강릉 단오제와 오죽헌, 선교장 등 다양한 명소가 있습니다. 강릉 특산물로는 해산물, 초당두부와 커피가 유명합니다.
I live in Gangneung, Gangwon-do. Gangneung faces the East Sea and the Taebaek Mountains to the west. Recently, the KTX station has been opened, attracting more spectators, and especially in summer, the beach is always crowded with vacationers. In addition, there are various attractions such as Gangneung Danoje, Ojukheon, and Seongyojang, which are intangible cultural heritages of mankind. Seafood, Chodang tofu and coffee are famous as Gangneung specialties.

이웃과 사이좋게 지내기 위해서는 서로 간에 지켜야 할 기본 예절을 알아야 합니다. 이웃 어른을 만나면 허리를 굽혀 공손하게 인사를 하고 높임말을 사용해야 합니다. 공동주택에서는 흡연이 금지된 복도나 건물에서는 담배를 피우지 않습니다. 저는 이웃을 배려하여 밤늦게 청소기나 세탁기를 돌리지 않습니다.
To get along with your neighbors, you need to know the basic etiquette to follow. When you meet an adult next door, you should bow politely and use respectful language. In the apartment complex, smoking is not permitted in hallways or buildings where it is prohibited. I do not run the vacuum cleaner or washing machine late at night to be considerate of my neighbors.

제가 한국에서 가고 싶은 명소는 강릉입니다. 강릉의 푸른 바다를 구경하고, 싱싱한 회와 맛있는 음식들을 먹어보고 싶습니다. 고향에서는 바다를 가볼 기회가 많지 않아서 언니와 함께 강릉에 간다면 더욱 좋을 것 같습니다.
Gangneung is the place I want to stay in Korea. I want to see the blue sea of Gangneung and try fresh sashimi and delicious food. There are not many opportunities to visit the sea in my hometown, so it would be even better if I went to Gangneung with my sister.

태국의 대표적인 음식은 팟타이입니다. 쌀국수, 해산물, 야채 등을 소스와 함께 볶아 먹는 볶음국수입니다. 태국 음식은 다양한 향신료를 많이 사용해 독특한 향이 있다는 점이 한국 음식과 다른 점입니다. 한국 사람에게는 쏨땀을 소개해 주고 싶은데, 쏨땀은 파파야를 채 썰어 매콤새콤하게 만드는 음식으로 한여름의 더위를 잊게 해 주는 음식입니다.
The representative food of Thailand is pad thai. It is stir-fried noodles made of rice noodles, seafood, and vegetables with a sauce. Thai food is different from Korean food in that it uses a lot of different spices and has a unique flavor. I want to introduce Korean people to ssottam, which is a spicy and sour dish made by shredded papaya, a food that makes you forget the heat of midsummer.
