N(이)고 grammar = N and N ~ list multiple things with the same characteristic 

Usage:

- N이고 = N이다 (to be) + 그리고 (and) = used to list multiple things with the same characteristic and indicate that their choice are the same.  

- It is often followed by the words such as 모두, 다, 아무것도, and 어디서나

- Similar grammars: N와/과, N (이)랑, N하고 = 'and' ~ listing particle in Korean

Tense

Nouns ending in vowel + 고:

의사 -> 의사고

휴가 -> 휴가고

모자 -> 모자고

불고기 -> 불고기고 

Nouns ending in consonant + 이고:

방학 -> 방학이고

학생 -> 학생이고

생선 -> 생선이고

추석 -> 추석이고

Examples

1. 수산 시장에 가면 생선이고 조개고 다 있어.

When you go to the fish market, you can find fish and shellfish.

2. 지수는 배가 고파서 빵이고 과자고 눈에 보이는 것은 모두 먹었어요.

Jisoo was hungry, so he ate everything he saw like bread and snacks.

3. 백화점에서는 옷이고 신발이고 모두 팔아요.

They sell both clothes and shoes at the department store.

4. 대한 씨는 수영이고 축구고 모두 잘해요.

Daehan is good at both swimming and soccer.

5. 중요한 일이라서 메시지고 이메일이고 모두 보냈어요.

Because it is an important work, I sent you both a message and an email.

6. 좋아하는 배우가 나와서 영화고 드라마고 모두 봤어요.

Because my favorite actor came out, I watched all her movies and dramas.

7. 배가 아파서 지금은 밥이고 빵이고 아무것도 못 먹어요.

I have a stomachache, so I can't eat anything now, whether it's rice and bread.

8. 김치는 마트고 편의점이고 어디서나 다 팔아요.

Kimchi is sold everywhere in the mart and convenience store.

9. 이번 시험은 문법이고 쓰기고 잘 본 게 하나도 없어요.

I didn't do well in grammar and writing for this exam.

10. 한국에는 설날이고 추석이고 모두 큰 명절이에요.

In Korea, both Lunar New Year and Chuseok are big holidays.
