가다 --> 가자고 하다
먹다 --> 먹자고 하다
출발하다 --> 출발하자고 하다

1) 친구: 우리 주말에 같이 공부해요.
--> 친구가 주말에 같이 공부하자고 했어요.
My friend suggested me to study together on the weekend.

2) 이번 주말에 약속이 있어요?
- 네, 아이가 같이 놀이 공원에 가자고 했어요.
Do you have an appointment this weekend?
- Yes, my child suggested me to go to the amusement park with her.

3) 갑자기 여행을 왜 취소하셨어요?
- 아, 내일 비가 올 것 같아서 가지 말자고 했어요.
Why did you cancel your trip all of a sudden?
- Oh, it was going to rain tomorrow so I suggested to cancel it.

4) 시간 되면 커피를 한잔 마시자고 해요. 
He suggested let’s drink a cup of coffee if you have the time.

5) 그 여자에게 사귀자고 했어요.
I suggested her to go out with her.
